[edit] Move !!Please learn the difference between "move" (as defined by the MediaWiki software) and "copy and paste". This delete request states "I moved..." - no you did not - you copy-and-pasted. If I had carried out your delete request, I would have destroyed over a year's edit history. If you wish to move an article to a title that already exists, eg. in the simplest case to reverse a previous move, then you must request an admin to do it. -- RHaworth 18:36:28, 2005-09-11 (UTC)
[edit] QuestionHello. Could you please tell me under which license is Image:Masamune-replica.png under? Thanks. Doidimais Brasil 01:30, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Category link text labelsI noticed you updated the category tag for Saffron to read "[[Category:Firefly characters|Saffron]]". In case you weren't aware of it, this is not necessary. The only reason to add a category link text label is to change the order it is displayed on a category page. There are three cases where this is useful:
Please forgive me if you already knew this. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 08:43, 19 September 2005 (UTC) [edit] Template:Unsigned3Hello, I realize that you've left, but I wanted you to know that I've changed {{unsigned3}} a wee bit. I've deleted the coloring and made it small so that it looks like other {{unsigned}} templates. Hope you like it, if not, go ahead and change it back. All the best, --Blackcap | talk 22:37, 4 October 2005 (UTC) [edit] Final Fantasy imagesAww, damn, those weren't orphaned? :( I deleted them months ago... if they were deleted just a few days ago there might have been some way to recover them from a cache somehow, but at this point I doubt there's anything that can be done. The trouble is, when images are linked to through text links, as they are in the articles you mentioned, they don't show up on the image description page under the "file links" section. I even contacted DarkEvil about the images because they all seemed to be unused, but he left Wikipedia a few days later. I'm very sorry about that... Coffee 17:01, 4 December 2005 (UTC) [edit] ThanksHi, Cuahl! I announce to you that I return as troubles keeping me from coming back were gone. Since I was still receiving messages from other people, including yours, I decided I'd come back. Furthermore, some troubles have been caused by me and I want to correct them as I know I am able to do a lot for the articles in the Final Fantasy project. Once again, thanks for the message who made me decide that I'd really return. DarkEvil 00:25, 5 December 2005 (UTC) [edit] Mel GibsonYou seem to be removing some links to Mel Gibson sites which I have added. I see no reason why people's access to information should be curtailed; after all that is the purpose of Wikipedia, to allow free access to information! Don't you agree? [edit] Tetra Master articlehey, can you add references to the Tetra Master article you created. i recently tried to get it promoted to good article status, but the status was removed because it has no referenced sources. --ZeWrestler Talk 20:29, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ParisHey, I just read your request over on Wikitravel. What are you questions? I'll be happy to try to answer. -- MarkJaroski 13:16, 8 January 2006 (UTC) Hi again. I'm answering here because you seem more comfortable with Wikipedia, but I guess probably it should be on [1] in the long run. First off, yes, if you want to ride the Metro your best bet is to buy a "Carnet de dix billets" pron: carnay duh dee. You can get them in Gare du Nord assuming you are taking the Eurostar. They have an info booth there where the staff wear little badges with flags showing the languages they speak, so just look for the union jack. Actually though I would put the metro third on my list of means of transport in Paris. I greatly prefer walking and cycling. Given that you and your friend are 20 and 21 you really ought to walk since you can probably see everything you want to see on foot, and its more fun anyhow. As soon as you get in get a copy of "Plan de Paris par Arrondissement" (or print out my maps from Wikitravel). That said the metro can be fun: If you want to experience full on metro crazyness try to use the Châtelet-Les Halles station: It's insane! Far far crazier than any London tube station. Also in a pinch cabs are very very cheap by London standards. For your friend I would suggest you spend some time in the 4th Arrondissement. Around the corner of Rue Vielle du Temple and Rue de la Bretonnerie is where you'll probably find the scene I guess he's looking for. There are a couple of hundred trendy cafes in the area some gay and some straight: Just walk around. Actually my wife and I did most of the reviews in the Wikitravel article, and since we're not much interested in gay bars we didn't review any. Your friend's contribution would be welcome over there. If I were you I probably wouldn't much worry about the language problem. The waitstaff will speak some English pretty much anywhere you go in the 1st or 4th arrondissements, and that should be more than enough Paris for one visit. That said the pleasantries can be pretty important, so do study up on those, "bon jour", "pardonnez-moi parlez-vous l'anglais ?" etc. Almost every hotel in Paris has English speaking staff, so that's almost certainly not an issue. What's your price range? -- MarkJaroski 14:29, 9 January 2006 (UTC) [edit] Final Fantasy ProjectHiya, I added some comments to your subject and had a bit of a play with date tagging - see if its the kind of thing you had in mind =) As I said on the project page, I like the idea of a Project Portal a lot, one of my self-assigned jobs is a bit of project management as you've probably noticed! If it's ok, I might have a tinker now and then in your sandbox? >Gamemaker 17:57, 10 January 2006 (UTC) Hi -- I'd like to know how to go about lobbying for having the current "Spira" article changed to "Spira (Final Fantasy)" and putting up the "Spira (disambiguation)" page in place of "Spira," as a normative encyclopedic definition. As you will see, I have a personal interest in this... Spir 21:07, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the note, and yeah, do let me know when you have something for the project pages! Anything that improves them has to be a Good Thing =) >Gamemaker 22:43, 8 February 2006 (UTC) [edit] New project pages project (!)Hiya, I've had a dip into some of your new stuff over today and just wanted to say its looking good so far. I especially like the Announcements system - I'd quite like to see that go live immediately actually =) It's still a bit tricky at the moment to see how it will all feel, but I'm sure once you get a front end in place that should all become clearer. >Gamemaker 23:38, 20 February 2006 (UTC) Had another sniff around:
In general I don't see anything to complain about! >Gamemaker 14:24, 23 February 2006 (UTC) Hi again, nice job on the implementation of the new pages! Something's confusing me though, we seem to have two Community sections now: the old one on the main discussion page, and the new one on its own page. The new page seems to be the new home, but it refers people back to the old section for the role call... =/ Would it be better to move all Community stuff to the new page? We could alter the Navigation box to improve its visibility and, for a while at least, point people to it from the old section too. What do you reckon? >Gamemaker 10:44, 27 February 2006 (UTC) [edit] HeyMainly, I need help with organization and whatnot. I've been trying to keep the todo page nice and neat, but the discusion page is quickly becoming large. Deckiller 02:57, 24 February 2006 (UTC) [edit] FF ProjectHaha, don't worry about it. I'm still relatively new to Wiki and I was kind of freaking out trying to figure if there was some rule I didn't know about that had been violated. Thanks for leaving me the note, I really appreciate it. :) -RaCha'ar 15:38, 24 February 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: "Looking good, and sorry"No hard feelings whatsoever. I've come to understand where you were coming from, and am trying to adjust my judgement accordingly. Cases like the Al Bhed thing probably could have done with a full week, whereas something like that Midgar discussion a while back needed exactly as long as it ran, or at least a good two weeks for everyone to weigh in on it. Thank you for the compliments, by the way. I've tried to be as helpful as I may. Ryu Kaze 01:13, 3 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Hey
[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!Welcome, Cuahl/archive2, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association. Now that you are a member, you might be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow. In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles. I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee , KnowledgeOfSelf, JoanneB, Titoxd and FireFox. The elections have ended. If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact me via email or talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to be!Thanks! -- Image:Ottawa flag.png nathanrdotcom (T • C • W) 00:00, 9 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Thanks for wikifying IceThanks for wikifying the Ice article I created. I forgot about the poor little bugger! Mike (T C) 23:13, 9 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Liverpool! What a coincedence, I visited a friend in Liverpool for a few months last summer (though he lived a little bit outside the city). I want to visit again :( (costs too much) - Image:Ottawa flag.png nathanrdotcom (T • C • W) 23:54, 9 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Wiki glitchWell, not really a glitch as such, more an oversight on my part. After adding the WPFF NavFrame to our main Talk pages, I think I've spotted people having problems when they use the + button to add a topic: the new topic gets placed below the NavFrame... =/ I thought I'd pick your brain and ask if you can think of any way around this, short of removing the box from the bottom of the page..? Cheers! >Gamemaker 00:19, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: I'm curious...Hey Cuahl, thanks for dropping by... when I went to check Flan Princess, the cruft was still there (clearing my cache didn't work). I went to check the source, and was surprised so see only the redirect text. After some research, I found out that the syntax must be uppercase, so I fixed it. Learn something new every day! Also, wow, nice work on your user page, looks really flashy! Flooch 04:06, 14 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: 42hey, sorry for the late responce. To answer your question, i've been going through some tough times as of latly. I'm alive, but just surviving the school work factor, mixed in with lots of social issues. i should eventually get back to the way i was before. so don't count me out yet. --ZeWrestler Talk 04:21, 14 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] User:ZmmzHi, we have set up an Rfc here[2], but we have done a poor job. Bottom line, we need an advocate, do you of anyone? Thanks.Zmmz 22:29, 14 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] ThanksThank you for updating the Sephiroth infobox. And no problem with the rudness, my initial response was a little rude aswell. It seems to be something we wiki editors have (yelling at the subordinate). -- Psi edit 22:50, 14 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] New userpageNice! >Gamemaker 22:55, 14 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Image:Sephiroth art (cropped).jpgI noticed that you accidently uploaded this picture with the GFDL licence. I corrected it. I know you're doing ten things at once, but you should make sure you upload pictures with the right licence. Thanks! :) --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 00:12, 15 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] ThanksHow do I create "J. Gordon Edwards" page when there is already another J. Gordon Edwards? My J. Gordon Edwards is a film director. I tried everything... Thank you for helping me. - Kedar 23:53, 16 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: HiI'm a little late to answer this, but I thought you'd prefer a late answer better than no answer at all. Yeah, college is taking more of my time since I came back from christmas vacation. All of this because I have more classes and one of them is a physics class and I need to study a lot more since this is nothing compared to what I knew of desktop publishing. But other than that, I like what I'm doing at school. Anyways, thanks for caring, I'll try to do a little more, and I should be able to come back full time in June. --DarkEvil 03:26, 18 March 2006 (UTC) [edit] 23:23, 18 March 2006Vandalism??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kedar (talk • contribs) 07:47, 19 March 2006
