Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Wikipedia. [edit] Signatures in articles
Thanks for your edits. A reminder that signatures (using four tildes) should not be placed in articles, as in this edit of Raritan Bay. Keep up the great work and let me know if I can help with anything. Alansohn (talk) 20:06, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Another reminder: Please do not add signatures inside article under any circumstances. Sigantires, however they are added, only belong in talk and other non-articles. See this recent pair of edits of County Route 23 (Monmouth County, New Jersey) which shows the addition of two separate signatures in each of two different edits. Alansohn (talk) 05:07, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Warning re signatures
DO NOT PUT SIGNATURES IN ARTICLES as you did at this edit of County Route 4 (Monmouth County, New Jersey). Please let me know here or on my talk page if you have any confusion as to why you should not be placing signatures in articles, as explained above. Alansohn (talk) 19:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Please review Wikipedia:Signatures which clearly states that "Edits on main Wikipedia article pages should not [emphasis in original] be signed — the article is a shared work based on the contributions of many people and one editor should not be singled out above others." Alansohn (talk) 19:20, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Final warning re signatures
Again, this edit of County Route 2 (Monmouth County, New Jersey) had a signature inserted. Signatures do not belong in articles. Do not type them manually and do not add them using four tildes ("~~~~"). Any further edits with signatures may be reverted. Please let me know here on your talk page or on my talk page or anywhere else, that you understand Wikipedia policy in this regard. Talk page entries are signed; Articles are not.
