Csobánka is a village in Hungary near Budapest. Csobánka is located in Pilis which is a National Park in northern Hungary.

The name Csobánka is rooted on Slavic čoban which means shepherd (čobanka means the female shepherd in Slavic). The word csobán originated from the settlement of the Magyars in Hungary. The earliest record of the official name was mentioned in a tax minute-book in January 3, 1698.
