The Stanford Harmonics are one of Stanford University's student-run a cappella groups, known for their repertoire which focuses on contemporary rock music. The group was founded in 1991 by Bob Lantz, and consists of anywhere between 11 and 17 co-ed members.

2006 has been a successful year for the Harmonics, as the group received The Contemporary A Cappella Society's 2006 A Cappella Community Award for Favorite Mixed Collegiate Group, as well as Favorite Scholastic A Cappella Album (for 2005's "Shadowplay"). "Shadowplay" was nominated in the "Best Mixed Collegiate Album" and "Best Mixed Collegiate Soloist" (Bryan Tan for "The Memory Remains") categories at the 2006 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. In addition, "The Memory Remains" was selected for inclusion on the 2006 Best of College A Cappella compilation album, and "Faster, Faster" (also off "Shadowplay") was selected for inclusion on the "Sing 2: Eclectic Boogaloo" compilation album. The group has also been seen on national television on The Price Is Right, and been featured on a national radio advertisement for Whole Foods Market. They were voted Stanford's Voluntary Student Organization of the Year in 2005.
