Crystalline copper

Single Crystal Copper (Crystalline Copper) is a subtype of high purity copper metals. Other types include electrolytic copper, which however does not achieve same purity values as crystalline copper.

Crystalline copper features a single crystal structure, which comes from the fact that it is grown using the Czochralski process. Crystalline copper, grown as a single crystal, has unique physical and chemical properties, such as considerably longer granules and absolute absence of gaseous impurities such as oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen.[1]
The Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC) process[2] may also be used to obtain longer than usual granules, yet granules are much shorter than in single crystal copper.
