Crystal Airways

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crystal Airways is a start-up airline based in Tampa, Florida, USA. It plans to operate Boeing 757-200 aircraft in a single-class configuration for business travelers[1] on routes in the USA and to Canada[2].

[edit] History

In 2000 Crystal Airways was offering travellers low-cost daily flights to Los Angeles, San Diego and Seattle from Colorado Springs using Boeing 757 aircraft, although the airline only existed in name. It still needed financial and regulatory approval as well as employees and a fleet of aircraft[3]. Crystal Airways Chief Executive, Timothy Rivers, had supposedly raised $160-million from investors but the financing fell apart[4].
