Crysis Warhead is an upcoming science fiction first-person shooter computer game developed by video game developer Crytek Budapest and published by Electronic Arts, and a standalone expansion pack to the 2007 shooter Crysis. It is due for release in Fall 2008. The game is a parallel story that follows Psycho, a character from the first game, as he faces his own trials and challenges on the other side of the island during the time period of the first game. It will feature new weapons, vehicles and enemies. It will showcase a new and optimized version of Cryengine 2 and will be the first game developed by Crytek's Budapest studio.
Contrary to previous statements, Crysis Warhead will remain a PC exclusive installment.
While Crysis was previously announced to be a trilogy, Crysis Warhead will not be the second chapter in that trilogy.
