[edit] Reception
The following are just a few further examples of some of the other things that have been said in the years since about the song:
"Cry Little Sister' blew us all away. It was more than a song. It was like a religious experience."
"It was a beautifully crafted production, wonderfully written song. It was performed perfectly...Great stuff will always survive."
—Bob Ezrin, Producer – Pink Floyd/Jane's Addiction [3]
[edit] Artist
Prior to working on The Lost Boys, the writer and recording artist of the song, Gerard McMahon (more recently known as G Tom Mac) adopted the pseudonym 'Gerard McMann'. Of this he has said:
"When I would go out and do interviews on the radio or TV, it seems everybody was pronouncing my name in many different ways, except the correct way. So I thought it would make more sense to spell it out the way that is it pronounced."
—Gerard McMahon[4]
