From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Cry" was the first single from American Country singer Faith Hill's 2002 Cry album.
It was originally written and recorded by singer Angie Aparo. Once Hill heard the song, she immediately fell in love with it and wanted to record it.
[edit] Chart Performance
Released in mid 2002, "Cry" proved to be less successful than the title track, "Breathe," off of Hill's last album, Breathe. It quickly peaked at number twelve on the Billboard Country Chart (then it dropped off very fast) and number thirty three on the Billboard Hot 100. Interestingly enough, the song was extremely popular over at the adult contemporary charts, spending eleven weeks at number one.
