Crump Cup
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Crump Cup is an invitational golf tournament for amateurs. The first tournament was held in 1922. It is named after George Arthur Crump and is played on the grounds of Pine Valley Golf Club, which Crump founded. The final round is traditionally held on the last Sunday in September. The 83rd annual tournament will be held in 2007.
The tournament is widely known because the course is open on the day of the final round to public spectators who wish to tour the golf course and view tournament play. This final round is the only day each year on which the public has access to the grounds of the club.
