Cruis'n Velocity is the spinoff game in the Cruis'n series. The game was for the Game Boy Advance and was released in 2001. The game was considered to be different from the other games due to not having an arcade style gameplay.

Unlike the previous games in the series instead of the racing down one-way courses consisting of streets based on real-life locations while avoiding various road hazards such as oncoming traffic and construction you travel through a large environment racing seven different cars and winning the races without getting hit by walls and such.
There's a new speed boost system by pressing on the gas buttion twice. There's also an option that you can have a damage system on or off and there will be a damage bar and it can go down when you crash into different objects.
There are three different races to chose from you can neither chose the Cruis'n Cup you can go through and unlock new courses and new cars. Championship which you go through courses and if you win the race you earn points like in Mario Kart. In Freestyle you can go through courses to get the highest track record.

Cruis'n Velocity uses the updated Doom engine and it has these features like a Multiplayer mode which you play with friends. Also instead of a save feature this game used a password system that you can save your content by writing down a password and countine with the game later on.

There are only 14 different courses that existed in real life but there only four different areas you could travel to like.
