Cruckton is a small village in Shropshire, England. grid reference SJ430103.
It is situated approximately seven miles from Shrewsbury town centre off the B4386 road to Montgomery, Powys. The postcode begins SY5. The village has a crescent of council houses as well as the publicly-funded Cruckton Hall School for boys with special needs or behavioural problems.
Cruckton is home to the Shrewsbury Sunday Premier Division outfit Cruckton Rovers, famous for their fast flowing attacking football. In recent years Cruckton has become synonymous with a hooligan element known as the Cruckton casuals or The Cruckton Lunatic Fringe. This group of so called supporters have continued to tarnish the good name of Cruckton Rovers Football over recent years and as a result, banning orders have been handed out to a number of trouble makers known to the authorities.
