[edit] In case you want to add your 2 cents
I see you're retired (but you voted on the ArbComm elections page), but just FYI, I started an Incident report you might be interested in here. If not, that's fine. I won't drag you into something you don't want to deal with. Thanks for the defense the past couple days, too. 67.135.49.177 19:59, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- No thanks. I see you have caught a one month block under a dubious policy rationale. Not surprised with the amount of bullshit and smearing that has been shoveled. Crockspot 20:18, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

- While I might not have agreed with you on much, there is a bit of drama here; i would have hoped you would try and change things, but perhaps it's not worth your time; to each his own. I suppose your new home will be a bit more sympathetic, but enjoy it nonetheless. David Fuchs (talk) 00:10, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. The environment there is more conducive to people leaving each other alone, but Fred is still a stickler for not allowing "made up" stuff that isn't reliably sourced, so hopefully it will strike a good balance. My main focus will be on expanding the content (starting with WP's featured content), getting rid of redlinks, filling in all the missing templates, and keeping the school kids from screwing things up. There is a lot to do there just getting the basics taken care of, so I don't even have an interest in getting involved in content pushing matches. I'll be around here pretty much every day grabbing something or other to add over there. Wikipedia is a great resource for not having to reinvent the wheel. - Crockspot (talk) 00:23, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your taking the time to comment on my RfA - see Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Wassupwestcoast. I've added comments that might clarify some of the issues you had concerns with. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 14:25, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pseudo-Welcome back
I saw you were back and wondered what the heck you were up to. Anyway, welcome back to the love fest that is WP :) spryde | talk 21:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm trying to keep my mainspace edits to a bare minimum, basically keeping an eye on the lesser watched articles on my watchlist, but I will be getting involved in discussions in WP and User talk namespace. I am on WP constantly because of the adaptation of content to Wikinfo, so it's hard not to notice things going on. - Crockspot (talk) 21:58, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hannity
I saw your refs on the Sean Hannity page, nice job. After reading about the previous problems you've had on here, I wanted you to know I appreciate the help. Thanks! Snowfire51 (talk) 07:47, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Steward election
Hello, could you please confirm the account on Meta is you, by providing a link to your userpage there, otherwise your vote will not count. Thanks. Redrocketboy 03:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- To elaborate this is called crosslinking... Anyway you need to crosslink your account. You can do this by doing an edit here (to your user page, perhaps) saying you have an account on Meta named Crockspot, and then on Meta, giving the diff of that post (about the account) on en saying it is you on en. Or you can if you want set up a fullblown WikiMatrix like my userpage on Meta references. (it's really best that it is something that one does for ones self). Once you do this it also counts for board elections. ++Lar: t/c 03:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Politicians with Military service
Hello there. on December 12, 2006... when we were debating the merits of categories of American politicians who were military veterans, you made the request that even if the categories were deleted, the pages listed ahould be added to "American veteran politicians". It's a shame nobody listened to you because a lot of the work I did was on pages for veterens that had not been added to a military category. I've been meaning to do this for, well a year I guess, but I'm finally going back into my own edit history and adding Category:American military personnel to the pages that don't have it. I'm not going into the child categories so maybe someone can sort the pages down to various wars or branches later on. Anways... that was a good suggestion.... just wanted to let you know it didn't fall on deaf ears.--Dr who1975 (talk) 17:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Combat Infantryman Badge
I was not in the military , and I understand you were. I have a question re the AFD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leo J. Meyer. This guy won that badge in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam, and was one of only 303 to have won 3 of them. Would that have required that he was actually exposed to enemy fire, as opposed to being in theater? Thanks. Edison (talk) 00:31, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
