[edit] Unencyclopedic

I've tagged the main article {{unencyclopedic}}.

In general, you should only add items that will be of interest to general audiences 10 or 20 years from now. Upcoming or recent campus happenings are generally not encyclopedic. Examples of things that ARE encyclopedic: Winning a state-level trophy where only one school in the state wins the trophy. For example, winning a major state sports tournament is encyclopedic, getting a rating of "1" or "highest" in a competition where multiple contestants earn that rating is not. Likewise, winning a minor sports tournament where few schools compete is also generally unencyclopedic. In this particular case, original film productions may or may not be encyclopedic. It generally would be if:

  • The production itself is encyclopedic and meets the criteria for its own Wikipedia article.
  • The nature of the production is unique. For example, if this was the first school to ever write an autobiographical screenplay or the first school to ever make a modern-day screenplay from a work from a famous playwright of the past.

I don't think either A Wolf Walks By or William Shakespeare's CAESAR qualifies under either account.

I recommend looking at Plano Senior High School for an example of a well-written school article. Also look at the good article criteria for guidance on writing articles for Wikipedia. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:39, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] cleanup-rewrite

The {{cleanup-rewrite}} tag replaces {{unreferenced}}, {{unencyclopedic}}, {{wikify}}, and {{inappropriate person}}. That's not to say those are the only problems with this article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:55, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
