Talk:Croatoan Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The expression "Gone to Croatoan" refers to the idea of refuting modern society and returning to Paleolithic (in the case of the Roanoke settlers: Indian) society. The image of a feral dog is helpful when considering the Croatoan phenomenon: the transition from tamed to untamed. The implications are broader among human products of Neolithic society than among formerly domesticated animals. Among humans the transition is conscious.

[edit] "Anglo-Saxon English"
What is "Anglo-Saxon English"? The English of the 17th century had little resemblance to Anglo-Saxon. Corvus cornix 23:42, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
