[edit] Fair use claim for photo to be used in Babe Ruth's Called Shot article
The year of this photo is unknown. It probably dates from the early 1930's. The source of this photo was the book The Babe: A Life in Pictures, authored by Lawrence Ritter and Mark Rucker, published by Ticknor and Fields in 1988. Photo credit is given to the National Baseball Library, located in Cooperstown, New York.
A fair use claim is made for this photo to compliment the text on Babe Ruth's called shot. This photo is of Chicago Cubs pitcher Charlie Root, who gave up this home run by Ruth. The article gives a paragraph on Root, including a quote from Root on the called shot.
The photo used in the article is of less size and resolution than its original source. The fair use of this photo is for noncommercial and educational purposes only.
