Croydon is a railway station located on the Inner West Line in the Sydney suburb of Croydon.
Croydon Station was originally opened as Five Dock Station in 1875, but its name was changed to Croydon soon afterwards.

[edit] Platforms/Service
The station has six tracks passing through the station, though only five platforms. The up main line, served now by InterCity trains heading towards the city, had a platform until the late 1970s. It has since been removed, although the footbridge remnants leading to the former platform are still visible.
Platform 1:
- Not currently in use - used only by trains during trackwork or in emergencies.
Platform 2:
- Not currently in use - used only by trains during trackwork or in emergencies. Until the September 4, 2005 timetable a limited number of South Line trains stopped on this platform in the morning and early afternoon.
Platform 3:
- Not currently in use - used only by trains during trackwork or in emergencies. Until the September 4, 2005 timetable a limited number of South Line trains stopped on this platform in the morning and early afternoon.
Platform 4:
- Inner West Line - all stations services to Central and the City Circle (clockwise).
- South Line - all stations services to Central and the City Circle (clockwise).
Platform 5:
- Inner West Line - all stations services to Lidcombe and Liverpool (Lidcombe trains proceeding via the Bankstown Line.)
- South Line - all stations services to Glenfield and Campbelltown.
