Crowtree Leisure Centre

The Crowtree Leisure Centre is an indoor sports centre based in the city centre of Sunderland, England.[1]

The sports complex has a vast range of facilities and can accommodate many recreational sports such as; Swimming, football, Squash and Badminton among others.

The Crowtree is also linked the The Bridges shopping centre.

It was opened by the Prince of Wales in 1978.

Swimming and Gym Facilities at the leisure centre closed in March 2008, replaced by the Sunderland Aquatic Centre next to the Stadium of Light.

The Crowtree Centre is marked for closure within the next few years and the space will be used to extend The Bridges shopping centre.
