Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is the fourth in a sequence of five novels that are collectively called the Crane - Iron Pentalogy, written from 1938 to 1942. Ang Lee's film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is loosely based on this book.^[1]
