Cross Campus Concessions Coalition

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cross-Campus Concessions Coalition (CCCC) includes student representatives from the University of Newcastle, University of NSW, University of Technology Sydney, Macquarie University, University of Sydney, University of Western Sydney, and University of Wollongong. The Coalition was formed after the NSW Administrative Decisions Tribunal found the NSW Minister for Transport, the New South Wales Ministry of Transport, the State Rail Authority and the State Transit Authority of New South Wales in breach of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act by not granting international students access to transport concessions. This decision can be accessed at: SUPRA & ors v Minister for Transport & ors 2006 NSWADT 83.

The coalition ran a campaign for Transport Concessions for international students in NSW, Australia in 2006.

Jenny Leong, Ruchir Punjabi and Shehbaz Singh have been the Co-Convenors and Spokespersons for CCCC since May 2006[1].

The National Union of Students of Australia, Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations and National Liaison Committee for International Students in Australia support this coalition for taking up the issue of Transport Concessions for International Students.
