Cropwell Bishop is a village in the borough of Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire, two miles to the east of the A46 in the NG12 postcode. The next village to the north is Cropwell Butler. Both villages form part of the Vale of Belvoir.
The village has one of a select few creameries that produce Stilton cheese. The village pubs are The Chequers on Church Street, The Wheatsheaf Inn on Nottingham Road and, towards the edge of the village, The Lime Kiln on the corner of Colston Road and Swab's Lane. The parish church is St Giles. There is a Co-op on Church Street, along with a small local store and sub Post Office. There is also a family run butcher, a hairdressing salon, a sandwich and coffee shop and a beauty salon.
The Grantham Canal runs along the edge of the village.
