Crookstown (Irish An Baile Gallda, town of the invader or foreigner) is a small village in County Cork, about six miles east of the town of Macroom and about 1km off the N22 Cork-Killarney road.
The village once had a thriving mill though the area is now better known for its brick and concrete factory at Castlemore. Nearby is the ruin of Crookstown Castle, once home to one of the branches of the McSweeney clan. Crookstown is a typical rural Irish village. It has two pubs and a shop. The pubs are the Cornerstone and Aunt " " ,with the shop being a QuickPick.
