Events include the "Fine Art Fair" held on the second weekend in June, "Liberty Fest" on Independence Day weekend, bands performing from the local area, and a lighting of the 50-foot (15 m) Christmas tree.[2]

The Promenade is the shopping plaza adjacent to Crocker Park. Stores include Giant Eagle, Bed Bath & Beyond, Borders, & Office Max. The Promenade was bought by Stark Enterprises shortly after construction of Crocker Park. The Promenade also has Max & Erma's, T.G.I. Friday's, Starbucks, Subway, Blockbuster and Baskin-Robbins.
