[edit] Giga Wing characters

The screenshots of Sinnosuke and Ruby are great but Stuck's screenshot is missing the big projectiles (I'm not sure if Isha's screenshot could be improved but Stuck's definitely could… --elias.hc 17:08, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out, I've redone Stuck's screenshot. I also tried grabbing a better screen of Isha, but it didn't look much better at all. --Crithit5000 20:00, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Strikers 1945 story issue

I understand that finding notable online detail on the tenous story to Strikers 1945 I & II are a bit scanty, but the proof is found in the respective game's manuals as well as on the Japanese Wikipedia page which summarizes all of the Strikers games. Not only are the game's fictional enemy organizations present in the japanese page (CANY and F.G.R), but it is also prominent in the manuals to the games, most notably the manual to the US Playstation release summarizing the first game and describing events in the second game. A link to the Japanese page is available on the English page of Strikers 1945. If there's anything I can do to help rectify the issue, please let me know. Mairebleu, 1:36, 17 August, 2007 (PST)

Thanks for clarifying that. I hadn't thought of checking the Japanese Wiki pages, mainly because the last few times I did check any of the Japanese shooter pages they were quite short on content. I actually own the US PlayStation version of Strikers 1945, but I haven't consulted the manual because, really, I figured Agetec would have either not included the story or they butchered it to hell.
Although I mainly added the unreferenced template to the Strikers games because of the story, I felt it was also important to add it because a lot of the shooter articles are really, really lacking in strong references and good content. I hope to improve them as much as possible, because it's a genre of games I love. Crithit5000 06:22, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I couldn't agree with you more, Crithit. It does sound expected of US releases, but I was surprised to see how close the US release was in its summary. Regardless, I'm glad I was able to contact you on this and I hope to bring some obscure shooters to light, though you're right it is tough to find strong online references to shoot em' ups; most of the time all the information is available in the game's manual. Update time! I finally procured a copy of the original Strikers 1945 that further proves there is a story to the game and that I have described it in my own words. Not only is the story written on the very cover of the game, but it's also entirely in English. If you require a scan, then I'd be glad to show you, otherwise I'd like to somehow resolve the does not cite any sources tag. Should I just say 'Lifted from' or 'According to the game manual?' [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Cyvern-Title.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cyvern-Title.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Little context in Death Smiles

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Death Smiles, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Death Smiles is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Death Smiles, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Psikyo-logo.png

Thank you for uploading Image:Psikyo-logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sf4.PNG)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Sf4.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
