[edit] Merge to main MTV articles

My primary concern about this article is that it's a negative POV-fork whose facts can easily be integrated into the main MTV and show articles. Other problems include weasel words and many many many unsourced statements. Thus, I've decided to tag for merging/npov/etc. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:44, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

It can't be a negative "POV" fork (i.e. my personal opinion) if there are numerous references citing said criticisms. Also, integrating into the main MTV article would make it even, even longer than it already is. We might as well virtually ignore or skim over an sense of criticism that the channel has faced through the years. Besides, there's already an individual article about MTV's censorship. Would you like that particular article to also be completely intergrated into the main MTV page. It would also be rather redudant to include the afordmentioned criticisms in the show articles, when they were already there in the first place. TMC1982 (talk) 12:59 a.m., 6 May 2008 (UTC)

I prefer that the Censorship on MTV remain itself in its own article. Again, I've removed criticisms of individual shows, as including them here creates a "coat rack" of off-topic material. Also regarding the "MTV2 Format Changes": The inclusion of that section is a blatantly "calling such statements 'criticism'...without any serious reason to do so", as said in Wikipedia:Criticism. It just copies the "Format Changes" section of the MTV2 article but does not suggest it is a reason for criticism, also a violation of Wikipedia:No original research.
And now, I do believe that the "Criticism of MTV" article can remain as an article; but I think that the main MTV article should at least try "whispering" whatever criticism/controversy there was (e.g. lack of black music videos, the controversial Super Bowl halftime show with Janet Jackson, the PTC, etc.) --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 02:34, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
