There's a web magazine called "Critical Miss." Is there an article about it someplace?

[edit] Related non-combat concepts

There should probably be a mention of similar random modifiers for non-combat situations. I believe Star Wars Galaxies has critical failures in crafting, for example. --Mrwojo 20:45, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Did critical hits originate in D&D?

The article says that critical hits originated in D&D, but there are no critical hits in 1st edition AD&D. The concept of critical hits does make an appearance in 2nd Edition AD&D, as an optional rule, but I'm sure that by that time (1989) they had appeared in many other RPGs.
