[edit] Seemingly Fake Horse Video
There's a video that's been circulating recently [1], apparently television coverage of a horse jumping a fence and running with the peloton during the Critérium Internationale in 1997. Google Groups indicates no old discussion of such an outlandish occurence. I can't find any old web references. Pretty hard for a horse to sustain those speeds, too. Unless someone has some contemporary evidence, I'm calling it a fake. -- pde 01:53, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I have been corrected. It does turn out that thoroughbred horses can't keep up with pro racers: [2]. -- pde 02:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
