[edit] Unreferenced text

I have removed the following because this was not referenced:

In early 2006, Crissy received new breast implants.

Please provide a verifiable reference and reinsert into the article as appropriate. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:17, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

~I'm sorry, I did not know that I had to do that. How can I verify it? It is talked about often on her forums and you can clearly see it in her recent photos. Any help would be great.~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Letsgomets1212 (talkcontribs)

No problem. Just remember in the future to cite your sources (and make sure those sources are verifiable. Now, as for the problem of confirming this... pictures or forum postings are not considered source materials. (Comparing pictures, for instance, is personal research, which goes against the no original research clause.) If you can find an article, interview or news item that states this fact, then we can use that. Thanks. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 22:01, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Does this help I run Crissy Moran blog and she writes on it http://www.crissym.ws/2005/10/boobs-healing-nicely-and-new-puppy/

Last year she did get a boob job to replace her existing ones

[edit] Picture

Can somebody please post a picture of her on her page. I would, but the rules on what pictures you can and can't post on here are complicated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Letsgomets1212 (talkcontribs)

If anyone can take a picture of her and release it under a copyleft license, that would do nicely. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 21:57, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Site

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but The Offical Site of Chrissy Moran, [1] seems to indicate this is still the way Ms Moran is making her bread. Whatever. Watchout you might be being conned. User:Kazuba 03 Dec 2006

Her blog indicates that she's been trying to figure out what to do with the material because she was under a contract for two more years: "I have cancelled all my photoshoots for the future but I still have a dilemma. I have an adult website which I am in a contract with I believe for another two years. It is very popular and earns me the majority of my income." http://blog.my space.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=103151448&blogID=161404091&Mytoken=E932F2F5-6078-4B0F-A4A6C55C57819FED53893470 She followed up, "My website is still up for now and I have yet to discuss these things with my webmasters. I am not sure what will happen in that respect. I am looking for legal counseling and any help I can get. It will be gone soon enough though." http://blog.my space.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=103151448&blogID=176971194&Mytoken=E932F2F5-6078-4B0F-A4A6C55C57819FED53893470 Zz414 03:31, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Blogs are not reliable sources. I'm removing these claims until they can be sourced. Valrith 23:34, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Where else are you going to find sources about one's conversion to Christianity? Also, her MySpace page is her actual Web page, and it's not a "blog" that does not verify the claim. This Talk page links to several of her statements on her personal page about her conversion. Where else would you expect to find these claims? Most of the other information on this page also isn't sourced, but for some reason the only statements have multiple sources are being removed by you. Is her personal, verified MySpace page insufficient? Is the reliable blog sourced by the reputable and widespread organization XXXChurch.com insufficient? What if I cited the page without the stigma of "blog" at the top? What about an interview with her on Jason Harper as "Pastor and the Porn Star"? How many more sources do you want? Do you dispute their accuracy? Zz414 00:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
The sources seem to be fine for me and by WP:V. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 01:56, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
The best reference would be an AVN article or a notice placed on Moran's website (the real website, not the MySpace cruft). The XXXChurch page is ok, I suppose, and the interview is considerably better than anything else, but fails WP's stipulations about rich media. Otherwise, you're correct that virtually nothing here is properly sourced. So I've removed everything that falls into that category and prodded the article for lack of notability. Valrith 21:13, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm no sure Why her short autobiography which is published on a blog can't be a valid reference. Anyhow, all this will probably go away. --moyogo 23:47, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
This is unbelieveable. First you expect the industry she shunned to be the best place for a trumpet for her new biographical data. Then you actually concede that the Web information posted is acceptable. Then, you go ahead and throw out the baby with the bathwater, disposing of much material that had been verified and sourced in the many months this page has existed. Finally, you make the recommendation to remove this page only after you concede that maybe it's got enough source material anyway, and even though it was recommended for removal for these precise reasons just 6 months ago and the result was Keep. I don't know why you've got a vendetta against this page, but try to keep consistent in your arguments. Zz414 00:21, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hustler's Relevance

Why is it relevant that she is featured in this month's Hustler magazine? It's not like it's the first time she is featured in a magazine [2]. Either remove or keep and add similar info, no? Or is there a story behind the timing of this? --moyogo 23:47, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't see the relevance of this. I'd remove it. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 05:03, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prod

Not only has this page been approved just 6 months ago as notable, but also you've unilaterally removed content and placed a notice at the top without going through the usual channels of "citation needed." Please stop the vendetta against this page! Zz414 05:46, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Incorrect. According to WP:CITE#Tagging unsourced material, all uncited information is to be removed on sight from biographical articles. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 16:13, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Crissy is Hispanic? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daskunt (talkcontribs) 12:40, December 23, 2006

[edit] Rhetoric

The language in this article is poor. Upon finding this site while browsing the wiki, I could hardly understand what it was about (the resources were handy though). I don't understand who Darren Hayman is or why I was suddenly given his name instead of more information about the subject of this entry. "Major magazines like Hustler Magazine?" I honestly don't know why I was given that stranded bit of information either. My apologies to you, tireless wiki contributors. I'm sure I don't understand the difficult tasks you undertake while casual users like me reap the benefits, but I just think you could use some third-party feedback. Best wishes. Iangerg 06:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

I agree, this article sucks. The mention of Hustler is included to show that the person is notable and should be on Wikipedia. — Wackymacs 09:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I also agree. Did some cleaning up + removed a reference to some pop artist being derogatory. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.159.198.183 (talk) 03:27, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
