Talk:Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'd quite like to mention how the Act criminalised people who choose a nomadic lifestyle such as Roma Gypsies, Irish Travellers and New Age Travellers - any comments? 81.77.246.177 19:16, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- A very important aspect of the effects of the Act. But it would be very useful if you could find an/some examples (perhaps of evictions or other court action) to cite as references to keep the article solidly Wiki-ish and avoid somebody coming along and removing your contribution or calling it opinion or politics. – Kieran T (talk | contribs) 19:19, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Is anyone aware if sections of this act have been repealed, superceded, or overturned in court? Speciate 23:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV issues
It seems to me that this article currently has major NPOV problems. It outlines sources of opposition to the Act and a variety of criticisms levelled at it, but this is not balanced by any explanation of the justification for the measures or evidence of popular support for them. - I don't understand why you want to put a NPOV tag on a well referenced criticisms section. Going on what you said above I would imagine you should have put a tag asking for the changes section to be expanded or indeed asking for a new section on popular support. By the way, good luck finding references for that popular support. Mujinga (talk) 01:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
