[edit] Plot summary
In this episode, Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the murder of a former playgirl.
At first, Goren and Eames learn that a very specific notebook, purchased by the victim at auction, has disappeared. This "little black book", once belonging to a legendary playboy, reveals the marital indiscretions of a U.S. Senatorial candidate that his politicals rivals could be perceived as a lack of seriousness. Soon Goren and and Eames find a trace leading to an extortionist who could be responsible for the crimes, but the man is found with two bullet wounds in his back. Further evidence leads them to investigate the wealthy older playboy, as well as the dysfunctional family atmosphere exuded by the Senatorial candidate.
