Saving Face is a fifth season episode of the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
[edit] Plot summary
In this episode, Detectives Logan and Barek investigate the case of a young female medical student whose mutilated body has been found by two children behind a dumpster. Barek and Logan soon learn she had recently returned from Central America and was suspected by the other passengers of being a drug mule who smuggled narcotics. The evidence leads them to a renowned cosmetic surgeon who has made a name for herself by performing surgeries on people who would not normally be able to afford such expensive procedure. While the doctor is celebrated for her donated work in facial reconstruction among the poors, the detectives think she is harbouring a dark secret and might be running a fraudulent charity.
