Criterion Gallery

Criterion Gallery is a commercial gallery with a focus on contemporary art from the Asia-Pacific region. Located in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia the gallery draws on the rich knowledge base and experiences of practicing artists living in Tasmania, many being staff members of the University of Tasmania School of Art, as well as visiting artists from the region.
Criterion Gallery opened in April 2004, with its first exhibition by Tasmanian artist Megan Keating. Since then Criterion has continued to offer contemporary art to a Tasmanian audience by bringing in established Australian mainland artists as well as emerging contemporary artists from New Zealand, China and Hong Kong.
Artists represented by Criterion Gallery include: Richard Bell, Matt Calvert, Adam Geczy, Anthony Lister, Neil Haddon, Sara Hughes, Megan Keating, Geoff Parr, Mary Scott, Regan Tamanui, Andrew Curtis, Gregor Kregar, Pat Brassington, Christopher Langton, Neil Emmerson and Scott Redford.
