Cristina Pato (born in 1980 in Ourense, Spain) is a bagpiper and pianist.
The first female Galician bagpiper who recorded a solo CD in Spain, she has released three CDs as a solo bagpiper and collaborated in international tours with bands such as The Chieftains, Hevia, Royal Pipe Band, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, Galicia Symphony Orchestra and in more than twenty recordings as a guest artist.
She has given more than 400 concerts in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom (Celtic Connections 2004, Glasgow), France, Italy (Etnofestival, San Marino 2002), Germany (Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut, Berlin 2003), Mexico (Palacio de Bellas Artes 2004), many of them recorded and broadcasted by television stations such as BBC, TVG and TVE. She performed Golijov's Rose of the Winds, with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Silk Road Ensemble April 2007.
