Ionuţ Cristian Săpunaru (born April 5, 1984) is a Romanian football player who plays in his homeland for Rapid Bucureşti, whom he joined in July 2006. He plays in the position of central defender. He previously played for FC Naţional, since he was 6 years old.
Săpunaru made his debut for the Romanian national team on 31 May 2008, against Montenegro.
