Cristian Lucian Munteanu (born October 17, 1980 in Arad, Romania) is a Romanian football player. He currently plays for Politehnica Iaşi as a defensive midfielder, but can also play as a central defender or a left back.
Munteanu started his professional career at the local club West Petrom Arad, in the third division of Romania. After just one season he was picked up by FC Bihor Oradea, where he quickly established himself in the starting eleven. After four and a half seasons, including one in the top flight, he moved to MFC Sopron in the first division of Hungary.
After 35 matches, Munteanu was transferred by Politehnica Iaşi in the summer break, where he rejoined his former coach at FC Bihor, Ionuţ Popa
