Cristian Gustavo Leiva is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on September 26, 1979, in the city of Chilecito in La Rioja Province of Argentina. He is currently on loan to Charleroi from Anderlecht of the Jupiler League in Belgium.

Leiva started his career at Club Atlético Banfield in the Primera Division Argentina in 2001. In 2002 he joined Cruz Azul in Mexico but he soon returned to Argentina to play for Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP). After only one season with Gimnasia he returned to Banfield.

In Banfield was a regular of the first team, and after some good performances in the Copa Libertadores 2005, in July 2006 Leiva was signed by Anderlecht.
