Crisis Management Initiative

The Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) is an independent, non-governmental organisation responding to challenges in sustainable security. CMI has offices in Helsinki and Brussels. It was founded by Martti Ahtisaari, the former President of Finland, in 2000. In 2005, it achieved reputation for the peace agreement between The Government of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement.
