Crisfield High School (CHS) is a four-year public high school in Somerset County, Maryland, United States.

[edit] About the school
The school is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the town of Crisfield in Somerset County. It has the distinction of being the most southern high school in the state of Maryland. The school is on North Somerset Avenue just southeast of Maryland Route 413. The original Crisfield High School opened in 1908, though it closed in 1926 when a new larger building was constructed A third building opened in 1953, after which the second school building was destroyed in a fire in 1972. After the fire a new building was constructed which is still in use.[1] Former President of the University of Maryland Harry Clifton "Curley" Byrd graduated from Crisfield High School in 1905.[2]

Crisfield 's graduation rate has been steadily sinking over the past 12 years. In 2007, the graduated 63.5% of its seniors, down from a high 86.7% in 2002.[3]
Crisfield is a fairly small high school. In 2007, the school showed its largest enrollment over the previous 12 years.
