The Crimson-backed Tanager (Ramphocelus dimidiatus) is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is found in Colombia, French Polynesia, Panama, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
