The Crieff and Comrie Railway was incorporated on 25 July 1890 following the abandonment of a previous scheme in 1856.[1] The line opened in July 1893 and was operated by the Caledonian Railway, and being absorbed by the same in August 1898.

The line was closed on 6 July 1964.
