CRIDA is an Spanish institutional Centre formed through the combined effort of AENA (Spanish Air Navigation Service Provider ANSP) and UPM (Technical University of Madrid). The aim and object of the Centre is to become a Reference for Research & Development and innovation in the area of ATM in Spain.

Thus, CRIDA aims at participating and concentrating effort in all national, European and world-wide initiatives focused on R&D and innovation of the future Air Traffic Management concepts.

Activities such as innovative research, early stage validation of ATM concepts or performance assessment of future ATM (safety, capacity, efficiency) are the main activities of CRIDA. Consequently, a pure research organization (university) and the final ATM production body (ANSP) were needed for this initiative, materializing in AENA+UPM’s CRIDA Centre.
