Cricket Plus is the only 24x7 American cricket channel, dedicated to showing cricket matches and cricket-based programs. The channel broadcasting rights are owned by DirecTV in the United States.
Cricket Plus was launched in 2006 as a premium channel for South Asian viewers on DirecTV and a local version debuted in Canada called ATN Cricket Plus, owned by ATN. Cricket Plus broadcasts cricket matches, including the Cricket World Cup, and several cricket-based programs from TEN Sports.
Cricket Plus broadcasts a variety of cricket shows that feature a tremendous amount of cricket from countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, and more. Though there are many interviews with different people of Indian descent, there are not many cricket matches involving India unless shown in the popular Cricket Classics.
