[edit] No Creole Music?

I would like to revive the entry for Creole music.

Creole music may be rare but it is not the case that this kind of music does not exist today and is not performed today. It merits its own entry separate from Zydeco. Joining it with Zydeco would, I believe, mislead the reader.

Les Amis Creole were recorded in 2006 and they perform today. See the Arhoolie release page at http://www.arhoolie.com/titles/529.shtml. See the home page of Les Amis Creole at http://www.lesamiscreole.com/

Contemporary Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco musicians are discussed at the following page: http://www.lsue.edu/acadgate/music/musicmain.htm

See the entry for Joe Hall. He is identifed as a Creole Musician. He released 2 CDs of Creole music in 2006-2007 and one in 2003. http://www.lsue.edu/acadgate/music/hall.htm

Lawrence Ardoin and Morris Ardoin also occasionally perform Creole music. October 12, 2007 Npomea 18:08, 12 October 2007 (UTC)NPomea
