Portal:Creationism/Intro

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Creationism is the belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe were created in their entirety by a supernatural deity or deities (typically God), whose existence is presupposed. Biblical creationism is the belief in literal interpretations of Genesis. The term strict creationism is sometimes used to avoid confusion with the more general concept of creation held by those whose faith accommodates theistic evolution. Creation in this context refers to the specific supernatural act of creation.
