Credit Suisse's new logo launched on January 16th 2006.

Source: the logo was downloaded on 21 August 2007 from http://www.credit-suisse.com/framework/img/logo_cs.gif (it is displayed on Credit Suisse's main page at http://www.credit-suisse.com/country_selection/en/) and converted to PNG format before upload.

It replaces the previously uploaded logo which had no source, and included some white space around the logo.

This image is subject to copyright; however, its use in article Credit Suisse is covered by U.S. fair use laws because:

It illustrates an educational article about the entity that the logo represents.
The image is used as the primary means of visual identification of the article topic.
It is a low resolution image (175x32 pixels), and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit goods.
The logo is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by the owner of the logo.
It is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
