Crestwood Secondary School is a high school located at 1885 Sherbrooke Street West in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1963 and in 2001 enrolled 1075 students in grades 9 through 12. It is a member of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.

To provide a fair, supportive and stimulating learning environment in which all are encouraged to succeed. All at Crestwood will have an opportunity to:

Crestwood, named by its first principal, Warren W. Watt, opened in 1963 with extensions and the addition of the Learning Information Centre following within a few years. Crestwood sits on 22 acres of open land with a backdrop of dense woods of spruce and pine that are characteristic of the Kawartha district. It neighbors James Strath Public School, which is the largest feeder school for Crestwood. It contains a track just short of 400 Metres, 2 baseball fields, a football field/2 soccer fields, a tennis court, a shotput area, and a triple jump area.

The community surrounding Crestwood is evenly split between rural and urban with approximately 61% of students travelling by bus to Crestwood.

Students that attend Crestwood reside in the west end of Peterborough, Ontario as well as Cavan, Millbrook, North and South Monaghan Townships, Mount Pleasant, Bailieboro and Fraserville.

The Crestwood "Mustangs" consistently place in COSSA and OFSSA finals and are well respected throughout Central Ontario. The Mustangs are true to the school's "Strive for Excellence" motto. Crestwood is considered to have one of the best highschool football teams in Ontario and are the reigning Ontario Bowl champs. They also have the COSSA Gold Titles in Girls Field Hockey, Girls Basketball, Girls Soccer, Badminton, Track and Field and Girls VolleyBall

While not a school primarily focused on the arts, there are several strong arts programs at Crestwood. The music department, under the direction of Paul van der Bank for the past few years, has thrived, taking bands on trips to Halifax in 2002, New Orleans in 2004, and Chicago in 2006. Additionally, in the spring of 2003, the jazz band, known as Brace Yourself, were invited to and played at the Canadian National Musicfest in Toronto.

The recent trip to Chicago ended up with Crestwood's wind ensemble and jazz band receiving first place in their categories in the Music Festival Competition, while their concert band was in a non-competitive category. The bands will also be traveling to Washington in 2008. Crestwood contains a Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Flute Quartet, Percussion Ensemble, and Brass Quartet.

Crestwood also has strong drama and arts programs, who put on plays and art exhibitions throughout the year. In 2006, Crestwood's Drama Department put on a production of the one-act play White Room of My Remembering and entered it in the Sears Drama Festival. Winning an award as an Outstanding Production, best lighting and sound (Dave Trowsdale and Venetia Kelly), Best Stage Manager (Ayla MacPhee)and countless acting awards by most of the cast at the Peterborough festival held at Showplace Peterborough, the play advanced to the Regional round of the Sears Festival, held in Pembroke, Ontario. In winter of '06, they also performed a version of "A Christmas Carol" which was successful, performing to hundreds of elementary school children during matinee performances, and attracting large crowds each night of it's 3-performance run.

The school is best known, however, for its Film and Television Production program. Created and run by Ross Davies who is a Prime Minister's Award winner for Excellence in Education, the program has seen students produce a variety of television segments and shows for TVCogeco and Corus Entertainment's CHEX Television for almost a decade. Most recently, the program has expanded its focus to include dramatic pieces including a full-length original feature film.
