Crest Nicholson

Crest Nicholson is a second tier British housebuilding company based in Chertsey, Surrey.
Crest Nicholson Plc became a private company on 3 May 2007. The Company was acquired by Castle Bidco Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture between HBOS and West Coast Capital which is partly owned by Sir Tom Hunter.
Crest Nicholson operates in the South of England, the Midlands and Wales. Operating profits were recorded as £103 million for the year ending 31st October 2007, but they have recently been adversly affected by the change in economic conditions in the United Kingdom.[1]
Crest Nicholson are currently under investigation by the UK Trading Standards body for mis-representing houses when they were sold.[2], and an agreement Crest Nicholson and Bath, Somerset council is currently listed for examination in relation to potentially breaching part of the EC Treaty relating to competitive offering of contracts.
