The Crescent Glacier is a small glacier located southeast of Mount Adams in Washington. A small subpeak of Mount Adams, named South Butte, rises nearby.[2] In addition, the Crescent Glacier is located quite close to another small glacier, the Gotchen Glacier, located just to the east. The Crescent Glacier lies in a small south-facing cirque with a steep headwall. The glacier ranges in elevation from 8,400 feet (2,600 m) at the foot of the steep cliff to 7,900 feet (2,400 m) at the moraine. One arm of the glacier extends south down to 7,600 feet (2,300 m) and the other branch connects the glacier to a snowfield to the north at about 8,800 ft (2,700 m).[2]
