Creedmoor is a city in Granville County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,232 at the 2000 census. Creedmoor is home to four buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Cannady-Brogden Farm, James Mangum House, First National Bank Building, and the Obediah Winston Farm.

Creedmoor is located at 36°7′23″N, 78°40′60″W (36.123081, -78.683252)[3]. Creedmoor is in close proximity to 3 major roads: Interstate 85, NC56 and NC15. The city is also home to Lake Rogers, an 175 acre lake that offers picnicing, fishing and boating accommodations.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km²), of which, 2.9 square miles (7.4 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it (7.14%) is water.

Creedmoor is home to one of the campuses of Vance-Granville Community College.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 2,232 people, 933 households, and 606 families residing in the city. The population density was 779.7 people per square mile (301.3/km²). There were 1,020 housing units at an average density of 356.3/sq mi (137.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 70.21% White, 26.97% African American, 0.54% Native American, 0.36% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.99% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.20% of the population.

There were 933 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.7% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.0% were non-families. 28.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.93.

In the city the population was spread out with 24.0% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 35.9% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 91.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $38,974, and the median income for a family was $49,830. Males had a median income of $32,008 versus $26,019 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,584. About 9.0% of families and 11.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.0% of those under age 18 and 16.4% of those age 65 or over.
