[edit] Olivier Awards
The list should have the oldest ones at the top and the newest at the bottom - that is chronological. That's how all the lists are throughout the entire project, if not the whole encyclopedia. Would you please put it back to the way it was this morning? (I'm referring to Best new musical, but the principle should be the same throughout). Thanks, and thanks for your re-organization of the awards page and subpages. It makes much more sense to do it the way you have! Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Congrats
On your re-vamp of the Olivier Awards - great! Although it does still need a bit of editing, adding old nominations etc... If you use this link, it gives the full nominations since the beginning - problem is, you have to open each page in Word, because it won't let you copy straight from the webpage! Thanks so far - all brill! Adaircairell (talk) 12:45, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Project Dance / Ballet class tags
Paul foord (talk) sent me this list that may be of use, as in {{WikiProject Dance|Ballet=yes|class=redirect}} (I use mainly class=category, class=Dab, class=list and class=redirect.) — Robert Greer (talk) 18:29, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Balanchine
Thank you for straying afield with the Royal Ballet production of Jewels (okay, not that far afield). The Kirov were here the past two weeks and their last bill was all Balanchine: Serenade, Rubies and Ballet Imp. — Robert Greer (talk) 20:49, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Alistair Macaulay
The New York Times has had an English dance critic for the past few years, Alistair Macaulay. What was his reputation back home? — Robert Greer 22:29, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] thank you
By and large I agree with his appraisals. They're not opinions, he really appraises dances and dancers and is for the most part not opinionated. But he does have an obsession with the upper body, being a bit too hard on the Kirov women when they performed here recently, and much too harsh with Wendy Whelan, who is the exemplary Balanchine dancer. The latter stems perhaps from lack of familiarity with Balanchine as danced at City Ballet; their recent tour to London was their first in 20 years. Wendy is extreme, but so was Mr. B. She is Chris Wheeldon's muse as well, so there must be something right about her dancing; indeed, he drives her porte de bras and épaulement farther than Balanchine ever would have! — Robert Greer 14:29, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ondine
May I alert you to a discussion on merging Ondine (Sir Frederick Ashton ballet) into Ondine (Henze)! Robert Greer (talk) 19:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ashton's rep.
When I wrote concerning Ondine that Ashton's rep. is greater in the UK than the US or USSR, I was doing so for rhetorical effect, not as a putdown; I hope you'll understand! — Robert Greer (talk) 15:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] thank you
I'm glad you read it as intended! — Robert Greer 00:17, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ashton / Henze / Ondine / Undine
I regret to inform you that the party who wanted to merge Ondine (Ashton) into Undine (Henze) has been unable to accept Wiki. administrator DGG's determination that the two articles should remain seperate. Your comments on Talk:Ondine (Ashton) would be welcome! — Robert Greer (talk) 16:48, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] ditto
Please do get on that soap-box: the barbarians are at the gates! I've had it up to here with music (or baseball) loving, ballet hating nincompoops. Think of Hyde Park, Speakers' Corner beckons, duty calls! Is your e-mail up and running? There are some things better discussed off line. — Robert Greer (talk) 20:56, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Breathing
I saw you added a great section to the article of Vocal technique last year and I'm happy to see that you're still around. In fact, you added a section of breath there and I was wondering wether you'd know something on the subject of the Complete Breath as well, since there isn't an article yet on that section (there is on Diaphragmatic breathing yet though). I wondered if you were able to write an article on the complete breath? Myself, I've written the article in Dutch (.nl) and I hoped to find some information here without yoga roots. I hope you can help me in one or the other way. Friendly regards, Davin7 (talk) 15:56, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
